• A team of business facing HRBPs, whose primary function is to partner one or more Groups, their Director General and Senior Management Teams (SMTs).
• The Senior Civil Servant (SCS) Resourcing and Talent team, whose primary function is to support the SCS recruitment and talent pipeline across DfT.
• The Strategic Resourcing team, whose primary function is to strategically manage the DfTc delegated grade resourcing.
We are advertising two exciting Assistant HR Business Partner roles, both with great development opportunities. Each role is unique, and will support a wide variety of projects across the HR team and Department.
The Assistant HR Business Partner – Strategic Resourcing role is permanent, and will primarily work alongside the HRBP – Strategic Resourcing by building relationships across the DfT Groups, with the Departmental Resourcing Group (DRG), and within HR; to ensure the delivery of the key business outcomes, and a high quality, strategic, customer-centric HR service to our SCS and wider business stakeholders. This role can be based in either Bristol, Hastings, London or Swansea.
The Assistant HR Business Partner – SCS Resourcing & Talent is a fixed term role for 9 months (with potential for extension/permanency). The successful candidate will primarily work with the HRBP – SCS Resourcing and Talent on a varied, fast-paced and busy portfolio area, leading on HR delivery for the department’s Senior Civil Service (SCS) in DfTc and the agencies (DVLA, DVSA, MCA, VCA). This role is based in London.

We are also looking to grow our HRBP team, to support the growing departmental priorities and needs. We will be looking for further Assistant HR Business Partners to support other areas of our team. For candidates who meet the criteria during this recruitment, but were not offered a role; it is our intention to hold them on a reserve list for 12 months after the completion of this recruitment. During this time, if another Assistant HR Business Partner role or similar is identified, and you have been placed on the reserve list, you may be considered for the post.
