Job description

If youre looking for something more from your next project management opportunity, youll find it at FCO Services.

With responsibility to deliver a £50million portfolio of projects on government properties across the globe, we deliver many different kinds of critical projects for our customers involving works in embassies, office buildings, secure compounds and more. Join us, and youll get to oversee every aspect of these unique projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and to budget, and that they achieve the high levels of quality demanded by our Government customers

Oversee essential projects across the globe
Youll be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a diverse range of multiple projects up to £2m, and which could involve anything from building refurbishments and logistics shipments to IT infrastructure installations and critical security work. As well as planning and defining the work schedule for each project, and making sure all the right contracts and resources are in place, you will be expected to manage your projects budgets, identify, manage and mitigate potential risks, effectively manage project change and find solutions to any issues that may arise.

Throughout all your work, whether youre negotiating and administering agreements with contractors, contributing to front-end design, meeting with stakeholders on site or helping deliver the final build, you will always be focused on increasing value for money and on ensuring the quality of the products and services we deliver to our clients.

Test your project management skills at a whole new level
These roles call for qualified project managers with first-hand knowledge of construction, security, IT infrastructure installation or estates project management. Ideally a PRINCE2 practitioner (or APMP qualified), youll need some direct experience of procurement, risk management, managing project finances and managing change.

Given the critical nature of the projects youll be working on, it is important that you know how to manage multiple stakeholders and can communicate effectively not only with clients but with everyone involved in making it happen. Its also important that you are someone who can always deliver, even when youre having to work on several projects at once, and no matter how challenging or fast-paced the environment gets.

And take your career somewhere completely new
At FCO Services, we keep information, assets and people safe all around the world. Our customers, who include the Foreign & Commonwealth Office as well as other UK Government departments, look to us to respond with speed, agility and innovation to their ever-changing security challenges. This gives every job here added significance. It also offers an unusual level of variety and scope, not only in terms of the kind of projects you get to manage but the kind of buildings you get to work on and occasionally travel to as well. From fine residences to embassies, secure compounds to office blocks, youll be making a vital impact on unique projects all over the world.

Please specify your preferred location Hanslope Park or London on your application.

All our employees have to be security cleared, so you will need to undergo a comprehensive vetting process before joining.

Please note that this vacancy is a rolling recruitment and interviews will take place on a regular basis for suitable candidates. This vacancy may be closed prior to the closing date if a candidate is successful at interview.

Previous applicants need not apply.

This role may be based at either Hanslope Park, Milton Keynes or London, King Charles Street. Roles based at Hanslope Park attract a location allowance of £1,000, roles based in London attract a location allowance of £4,520.
